Sunday Morning
Went out on the patio and found Bear eating bone meal out of the glads tray! Mental note: REALLY water in the bone meal from now on!
As I was talking to Cara this afternoon I dead headed the violet aster and sprinkled the seeds in the glads tray. I hope, I hope, I hope by the time the glads are dying back I will have a tray full of small plants. I also dead headed the mouse ear coreopsis and sprinkle the seeds into a nearby pot, but which one I can't remember. (That's what I get for mindlessly puttering in the garden while talking on the phone...)
Yesterday I forgot to include that I stripped 2 stalks of seeds off the volunteer coral nymph over by Bear's house and them in the tray where I had some Tequila Sunset lupines growing. As they sprout I'll transplant them so they don't overfill the pot. I'm such an optimist! %-]
The wind is blowing again today. It blew hard enough last night to fell a tree into Butler's old house. CPL was out today cutting it apart to repair service to them. It also blew the butterfly bush over in the backyard and uprooted it it. (Yeah!) Ernest is out in the yard digging a hole on the back fence line to put it in the ground. To get the root through the hole without destroying the pot he cut a 1.5 square around the root and cut a slit in it to slip the root out.

No wonder it was getting so big.
